St Anthony's Lib Dems held their annual, free senior citizens bash last weekend. As usual it was a packed event and this year the very special entertainment was provided by the Evergreen Singers.
Cllr David Tutt said: "This was our 31st annual dinner. I have to admit that my hair is a wee bit shorter and a wee bit whiter than it was when I held the first one all those years ago. The room was full, the company were terrific and the turkey, I hope, was enjoyed by our guests. I'd like to thank all the volunteers who helped out and particularly the Evergreen singers. This was the first time they'd entertained us and their songs went down a treat"
Stephen Lloyd added: "The St Ants dinner really is one of my highlights of the year. The folk who join us every year have become firm friends. Cllr Jon Harris, Cllr Gil Mattock and Cllr Margaret Bannister kept us in order, and a great time was had by all."
