Stephen Lloyd's office remains open until 4pm today.
From the DGH:
Due to the severe weather conditions all out patient clinics today at Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital, Hastings. If your appoitment is critical please contact the out patient department.
Otherwise, our hospitals remains open, and we will continue to see emergency patients. To ensure the resources of the A&E department are directed at those people requiring emergency care, people are encouraged to 'Choose Well' and think about using the alternative NHS services available unless it is an emergency. Local pharmacies, GP surgeries, and walk-in centres in Eastbourne & Hastings are all now available. Alternatively, NHS Direct is available 24 hours a day via 0845 46 47 or www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
Southern's website is currently being updated with the latest on the trains running in and out of town. It can be accessed here: http://www.southernrailway.com/
