Eastbourne Works

December 4, 2012 11:07 AM

Eastbourne Works based in Langney Road, Eastbourne played host to local MP Stephen Lloyd, when he dropped into to meet with Juliet Smith, employment and skills adviser from Sussex Downs College, who is based at the town centre shop.

Eastbourne Works is a place for people looking for jobs, training and career advice in Eastbourne. It is also a centre for employers to recruit and select local people for vacancies and find out about training for their staff.

Juliet Smith, said: "We thank Stephen for his continued support. Eastbourne Works brings businesses and jobseekers together. We encourage and support local businesses to employ and train local people and we give guidance and support to those looking for employment to maximise their personal development and career goals."

Stephen Lloyd MP said: "I was very impressed with the whole job search and support operation at Eastbourne Works. Sussex Downs, in partnership with Job Centre Plus are doing some really good work locally with helping people back into employment. They are another fine example of the wide range of initiatives and effort undertaken in Eastbourne to buck the challenging economic climate. All we need to do is see the fantastic range of shops now available in the Arndale Centre as well as the effort being made by Juliet and her team at Eastbourne Works to show that our town is rolling up its sleeves."
