Eastbourne & Willingdon Lib Dems

A new retro shop in Grove Road has recently opened and been visited by Stephen Lloyd MP.

Owners of the shop in Grove Road - Pink Hearts and Bows, part of the Something Special store - Jackie and Yvette felt that Eastbourne needed a place that sold vintage and retro clothing and accessories, and welcomed MP Stephen Lloyd to try out a few styles.

They said: "We were delighted that Stephen was able to swing by and open our new shop and try out a few of our vintage garments and hats! Being part of the local Steampunk community, we felt there was a definite absence in the market for affordable Steampunk clothing. It's about working with the community as well which is why we also encourage people to bring in quality items that fit into our genre of products, so we can sell them on their behalf. We're constantly looking for local artists/craftsman that fit with the atmosphere of our shop."

Stephen Lloyd MP added: "It was great fun to officially open Pink Hearts and Bows and see their stunning retro Steampunk collection. I was particularly drawn to the top hat! All the gang are big supporters of local charities, in particular our own Eastbourne Bonfire Society."

Eastbourne Bonfire society will be supporting next year's Steampunk two day event: 'Incredible, indelible Festival of Curiosities and Wonder, ' due to take place on the 13th/14th September 2014.
